India – Mercedes-Benz India has rolled out a new marketing initiative titled ‘Dream Days’, positioned as a tribute to aspirations and dreamers across the country. The campaign, developed by Team X, part of advertising agency BBDO India, aims to align the luxury car brand with the spirit of ambition and forward-thinking in modern India.
Centred around the theme ‘A Dream is Never Too Far Away’, the campaign draws on the idea that dreams shape identity and ambition, serving as a creative lens through which the brand hopes to engage audiences. The messaging appears across multiple platforms, including print, retail, connected television, digital, and social media channels.
A key highlight of the campaign was an interactive print advertisement in a national newspaper. The ad placed an image of the Mercedes-Benz steering wheel directly in the reader’s hands, turning the front page into what the company describes as an “immersive act”.
Josy Paul, chairman and chief creative officer of BBDO India, commented on the concept, “There’s a kind of electricity to dreams; the way people aspire, hope, and imagine their future. We tapped into that feeling by placing the iconic Mercedes-Benz steering wheel directly in the hands of readers.”
Josy added, “An innovative front-page idea – to engage and connect with millions of dreamers across the country… to feel the future turn in their palms. A test drive before the test drive.”
Moreover, the campaign’s execution is being led by Pritish Nathaniel, senior vice president and India market lead at Team X BBDO India. He stated, “With Dream Days, we aimed to create a campaign that transcends conventional automotive advertising. It is a campaign that celebrates the aspirations and dreams of India. An evocative reminder that dreams don’t stand still. They move, they rise, and they dare us to go further. And this powerful emotion is what we hoped to capture at the heart of the campaign.”
The campaign is being launched nationwide and is part of the brand’s broader festive season marketing strategy.
