Singapore – Xero has launched ‘SG60: A Nation Built by Small Businesses,’ a campaign celebrating the small business community as Singapore marks its 60th year.
The video series available in Xero’s official site highlights SMEs that embody the nation’s core values of resilience, boldness, openness and multiculturalism.
“In the short span of 60 years, Singapore has evolved into a global business hub and economic powerhouse, its transformation underpinned by grit, tenacity, innovation and a celebration of diverse perspectives,” said Koren Wines, managing director, Xero Asia.
“Everyday, these same values are lived and breathed by Singapore’s small business community–the unsung nation-builders that represent the heartbeat of the economy,” Wines underscored.
SMEs form 99% of Singapore’s enterprises and employ about 70% of the workforce and contribute roughly half of national GDP.
Wines further added, “Our campaign is a tribute to our customers—everyday businesses achieving extraordinary things. It is my hope that the stories of these remarkable founders will inspire others to be tenacious, courageous and willing to challenge the status quo.”
The campaign spotlights Xero’s “Small Business Heroes,” featuring Oriental Remedies Group, Nandina REM, Foreword Coffee and GOODSTUPH, each reflecting a distinct SG60 value.
A dedicated microsite launches with their videos, with more stories to roll out in the months ahead.
