India — In a recent move, Truecaller Ads has appointed Athul Prabhu as its new product director, the company announced on Monday.
In his new role, Prabhu will be responsible for setting the product strategy and vision for the company’s advertising business.
Prabhu’s career includes developing ad-tech infrastructure for Glance, a lock-screen application, where he oversaw the global monetisation of the app. He has also held senior positions at companies such as TikTok, Viacom18, and Nielsen. Prabhu holds an MBA from the Indian School of Business (ISB), Hyderabad, and a B.Tech from IIT Kanpur.
He brings with him over 10 years of experience in the media, advertising, and technology sectors.
Hemant Arora, vice president of Global Ads Business at Truecaller, shared excitement over the news, sharing that Truecaller Ads continues to expand and is fast-evolving into a world-class platform.
“Athul will lead our next phase of growth by building a diversified suite of products tailored to different markets, powered by data and AI. His focus will be on enabling brands to connect with audiences in more relevant, trusted, and impactful ways.” Hemant shared.

Prabhu previously served as a group product manager for over four years, with a background in product marketing management and senior growth product management as well.
