Singapore – TBWA\Media Arts Lab, Apple’s bespoke global creative agency, has appointed Dennis Kung as executive creative director (ECD) for Southeast Asia, where he will oversee the agency’s creative direction across the region.
Kung brings more than a decade of experience across North America and Asia, having worked at agencies including Ogilvy, Mother, Wieden+Kennedy, Translation, Quality Meats, and Mojo Supermarket. Over the years, he has led campaigns for global brands such as IBM, Target, WhatsApp, and Facebook.
His portfolio includes IBM’s Cognitive Dress—an early AI-driven activation—Target’s Tarzhay Everyday, WhatsApp’s UGO documentary with NBA star Giannis Antetokounmpo, and Facebook’s Haunted Marketplace. In China, he worked with brands such as HP, IKEA, and Hennessy to strengthen local relevance, while also helping OPPO expand internationally.
Kung also played a key role, alongside Steph Cajucom, in the early development of GoDaddy’s Act Like You Know campaign, which later won the B2B Grand Prix at Cannes Lions.
In his new role, Kung will partner with Michaela Futcher, head of strategy and managing director, and report directly to Brent Anderson, global chief creative officer.

The appointment highlights Media Arts Lab’s ongoing investment in Southeast Asia as a region of growth, creativity, and cultural innovation.
