Philippines – Marketing leader John Richard (Chad) Sotelo has been appointed as the first-ever group chief marketing officer of Filinvest Development Corporation (FDC), a diversified conglomerate with interests spanning real estate, banking and financial services, hotel and resort management, power generation, and sugar.
In a LinkedIn post, Sotelo shared his enthusiasm for the new role, noting the scope and diversity of the industries under FDC.
“From banking to power generation, hospitality, sugar, and real estate in all its forms – let’s just say that the breadth and depth of what the team covers is amazing. Let’s go! ” he wrote.
Sotelo has worked in various industries, including consumer electronics, beauty, and FMCG. He most recently served at Robinsons Land Corporation (RLC), where he was also the company’s first chief marketing officer. In addition, Sotelo held the role of senior vice president and business unit general manager for RLC Residences.
