Singapore – Omar Sotomayor has joined the team at Edelman in Singapore as its newest executive creative director. Sotomayor previously worked with BBH Singapore for over 7 years, where he handled the role of creative director. He also had experience working with Leo Burnett for 3 years, bringing in over 17 years of experience to his new role.
Speaking about his appointment, he said, “Edelman has been making significant waves in the industry with its recent creative work. It was impossible not to notice its momentum or have curiosity about the direction the firm is heading in. I am excited to be joining such a talented team of storytellers and working with them on creating work that genuinely earns attention for brands and organisations.”
He will be reporting directly to Tim Green, chief creative officer for APAC at Edelman.
Green commented on Sotomayor’s appointment, stating that Sotomayor is a renowned creative across the region and globe, who is celebrated for his creative talent, innovative ideas and passion for producing work that resonates with local culture.

Sotomayor’s arrival builds on Edelman Singapore’s rising creative credentials, as well as producing global creative work for MediaTek, while managing the creative briefs for clients such as the Ministry of Defence.
