Singapore – IPG Health has promoted Pierre Loo to the role of executive creative director for the Asia-Pacific region, extending his leadership beyond China to include Japan. The move comes as the healthcare marketing network seeks to strengthen its creative vision and effectiveness across key Asian markets.
Loo has led IPG Health’s creative operations in China for nearly a decade, most recently as executive creative director of McCann Health Greater China. In his expanded role, he will oversee more than 50 creatives across China and Japan, focusing on delivering human-centered, effective healthcare communications.
“Creativity is the lifeblood of what we do, and Pierre is not just a brilliant creative, he’s a respected leader who blends artistic talent with deep strategic insight,” said Joerg Hempelmann, president of IPG Health in EMEA & APAC. He credited Loo’s talent for mentoring teams and building award-winning work as central to the network’s continued growth in the region.
Loo’s experience spans over two decades in healthcare marketing across global markets. He began his career in New York before returning to Asia, where he has played a pivotal role in transforming health marketing..

Loo is also active in the global creative community, serving as a jury member for major award shows, including the Pharma jury at Cannes Lions 2024.
