Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia – Food & Drinks Malaysia by SIAL 2026 has appointed GO Communications to manage its public relations and communications efforts ahead of the exhibition’s return in July 2026.
The event will take place at Malaysia International Trade and Exhibition Centre from 21 to 23 July 2026. The upcoming edition marks the fourth staging of the exhibition in Malaysia since its debut in 2023.
Organisers said the agency will support efforts to position the exhibition not only as a commercial platform, but also as a hub for food innovation, trade, talent and industry collaboration in the region.
Food & Drinks Malaysia by SIAL is part of the wider SIAL Network, which is headquartered in Paris and has operated for more than 60 years. The exhibition has grown into a regional marketplace connecting suppliers, buyers and decision-makers across ASEAN and other markets.
Comexposium Sdn Bhd Exhibition Director Southeast Asia Henri Tan said the appointment comes as the exhibition expands its presence in Malaysia and the wider Southeast Asian market.
“As we prepare for our fourth edition in Malaysia, it is important that the story of the exhibition reflects not only its scale and commercial relevance, but also its wider significance to the industry and the region. With vast experience managing large scale events, GO Communications has the ability to combine strategic clarity with strong storytelling instincts, and we are confident they will help us articulate the value of FDM 2026 in a compelling and meaningful way,” he added.
GO Communications has previously handled communications for major industry events including Defence Services Asia and World Congress on Innovation and Technology.
Peter de Kretser, CEO of GO Communications, said the agency views the appointment as an opportunity to contribute to discussions shaping the food and beverage industry.
“We’re naturally very excited with this appointment. Food & Drinks Malaysiais is a serious international platform with the scale, pedigree and market relevance to shape conversations, partnerships and opportunities across the food and beverage industry and beyond,” he said.
“To be entrusted with telling that story is both a privilege and a responsibility. In Malaysia, food occupies a very special place in the national psyche, but beyond the sentiment lies a powerful economic engine, one that links producers, manufacturers, exporters, buyers, chefs, innovators and consumers. FDM 2026 captures all of that in one ecosystem, and we are excited to help bring its significance to life,” he added.
