GO Communications was also recently tapped by ANGKASA-X to be its PR agency related to the launch of its A-SEANSAT-PG1 satellite, developed in Malaysia. The satellite was successfully deployed on 27th June at the Vostochny Cosmodrome.

The Vostochny Cosmodrome launch was broadcast in four different locations throughout Malaysia. These locations include the University Science Malaysia (USM) in Penang, the Malaysian Space Agency (MYSA) headquarters, and GreenPro Capital office in Kuala Lumpur, as well as the Sarawak Digital Economy Corporation Berhad (SDEC) office in Kuching.

The launch marks the beginning of a project by ANGKASA-X, which will use its technology to clear the way for a Satellite-as-a-Service (SaaS) solution. This project intends to demonstrate Malaysia’s innovation by designing and deploying a constellation of Low-Earth-Orbit (LEO) satellites along the equator. Together, these satellites will close the digital divide and provide access to internet connectivity for millions of people in the area, with an emphasis on rural Asia. Additionally, as part of their objective, they will provide competitively priced remote sensing services. 

The satellite launch will also supply governments, security agencies, and the commercial sector with important information. This information will cover a wide range of topics, including weather forecasting, plane tracking, maritime surveillance, security, and real-time photography of areas prone to potential catastrophes, including landslides, deforestation, and other natural calamities.

Kuala Lumpur – GO Communications has been recently appointed to manage PR and Communications duties for the 26th World Congress on Innovation and Technology (WCIT 2022), which will take place from 13 to 15 September at the Setia SPICE Convention Centre in Penang. 

The event is scheduled to kick off with an opening ceremony officiated by the Head of State of Penang, Tun Dato’ Seri Utama Ahmad Fuzi bin Haji Abdul Razak; Prime Minister YAB Dato’ Sri Ismail Sabri bin Yaakob and Chief Minister of Penang, YAB Tuan Chow Kon Yeow.
