Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia – Fresh Events Asia has appointed GO Communications as its communications agency of record for the 2026 season, expanding a long-standing partnership between the two organisations.
Under the agreement, GO Communications will oversee integrated public relations, communications and storytelling initiatives across Fresh Events Asia’s full portfolio of flagship events. These include The Music Run, REDLINE Fitness Games, The Sky Race, and the debut of DUA, a new Malaysian duathlon.
Fresh Events Asia is known for organising mass-participation fitness events that combine athletic competition with festival-style elements. Its portfolio includes The Music Run, described as Asia’s Fittest Party; REDLINE Fitness Games, positioned as Malaysia’s largest functional fitness race; and The Sky Race, a tower running challenge held at Merdeka 118 that debuted last year.
The expanded mandate formalises a collaboration that has been in place in previous years. GO Communications previously handled communications for The Music Run, REDLINE Fitness Games and The Sky Race, supporting efforts to position the events as lifestyle-focused properties for participants and brand partners.
Fresh Events Asia said 2026 will be its most ambitious season to date, with a greater emphasis on storytelling and communications as part of its growth strategy. The agency’s role will include shaping a cohesive narrative across all four events while maintaining the distinct identity of each property.
A key addition to the 2026 calendar is DUA, a homegrown run-bike-run duathlon concept aimed at Malaysia’s growing endurance sports community. The event is positioned as a locally developed platform designed to support grassroots sporting culture.
Jeffrey Ross, managing director of Fresh Events Asia, said, “Over the years, GO Communications has consistently demonstrated an exceptional ability to capture the spirit of our events and translate them into stories that resonate deeply with participants, partners, and the wider community.”
He added, “With GO, we have successfully positioned our events as unique, unprecedented experiences that bring people together through shared purpose. As we enter our most exciting season yet, which includes the launch of DUA, having GO on our side allows us to tell a unified, compelling story across all our platforms,”
Meanwhile, Peter de Kretser, CEO of GO Communications, commented, “Our partnership with Fresh Events Asia has always been energising because we share the same philosophy that great events deserve great stories. Over the years, we’ve seen firsthand how their platforms inspire communities, create unforgettable experiences, and redefine how Malaysians engage with fitness. Being reappointed for the 2026 season allows us to take that storytelling to the next level, connecting the dots across four incredible properties and helping Fresh Events Asia realise its most ambitious vision yet,”
The expanded partnership reflects broader competition in the mass-participation fitness and experiential events space, where organisers are placing increased emphasis on consistent, cross-platform narratives. By integrating communications across its portfolio, Fresh Events Asia aims to position its events as a connected ecosystem rather than standalone activations.
