Jakarta, Indonesia – American casual diner restaurant Chili’s has announced the opening of its first restaurant in Indonesia, located in Tribeca Central Park Mall in West Jakarta.
As per Antara, Tony de Graaf, director of operations & business development for Chili’s APAC, explained that the Jakarta launch is a strategic expansion of the brand’s presence in Southeast Asia. With over 1,600 outlets in more than 30 countries, Chili’s aims to bring its authentic, generous portions and “good‑value” dining experience to the Indonesian market.
Meanwhile, Katy Wilkinson, global director of business services at Chili’s, described the restaurant concept as “chill and dine”—family‑friendly, relaxed, and ideal for social gatherings with friends or colleagues. She said the brand offers a unique full‑service casual dining alternative between fast food and fine dining.
Rajafa Boga Group, which has operated in Indonesia’s F&B sector since 2010, is the local partner for this venture. Aninda Bestari, the company’s Chili’s Indonesia partner, said Jakarta was chosen for its high foot traffic and the new Tribeca area within Central Park Mall provides the ideal space for their first outlet. She emphasised the partnership seeks to support the local economy and create new jobs.
To align with local preferences and cultural norms, Chili’s Indonesia operates under a no‑pork, no‑lard, no‑alcohol policy—a concept previously implemented across more than 65 locations in the Middle East. The approach is designed to be inclusive and broadly accessible to diverse Indonesian diners.
