Manila, Philippines — In partnership with BBDO Guerrero, Childhope Philippines, and musician Elu Buendia, launched a new charity film ‘Donate to View’, aimed at raising funds to support education and protection programmes for children in street situations.
The initiative centres on an animated short film built around Buendia’s song ‘Bulaklak sa Buwan’. The film was directed by Joel Limchoc and produced in collaboration with FilmPabrika, The Acid House, BBDO Guerrero, Just Add Water Productions, and Hit Productions. It was launched in December as part of Childhope’s Christmas fundraising activities.
Under the ‘Donate to View’ model, audiences are required to make a small donation to unlock and watch the full animated film. According to Childhope, each donation directly supports its child protection and education initiatives.
The project was first previewed during Childhope’s ‘Musikalye’ event on November 29, held in line with the organisation’s Children’s Month activities. The film was later screened at Ayala Malls Manila Bay following Buendia’s concert on the same day.

Proceeds from the campaign will go to Childhope’s Street Education and Protection Programme, which includes initiatives such as KalyEskwela (School on the Streets), KliniKalye (mobile clinic), and other services focused on education, healthcare, and psychosocial support.
“Songs can inspire, but it’s what we do with that inspiration that really matters. That’s why this project with Childhope means a lot to me. I’m glad we’re able to use Bulaklak sa Buwan into something that can inspire others to help children build safer, brighter futures. It’s an honor to lend my music to a cause that believes so strongly in them,” Buendia said.
Mylene Lagman, deputy executive director of Childhope Philippines, said, “The children we work with face challenges no child should ever experience. Collaborations like this help open more doors for them to learn, heal, and the chance to dream again. We are deeply thankful to Ely and to everyone who chooses to support this cause.”
David Guerrero, creative chairman at BBDO Guerrero, said, “This project shows how creativity can support something truly meaningful. Working with Ely and Childhope allowed us to bring a powerful piece of music to life while helping raise support for programs that change children’s lives. We’re grateful to our friends and partners in the production industry that help sharing a story that matters.”
Donations can be made through Childhope’s official donation portal, powered by PayMongo. The animated film is accessible via the portal and through Ely Buendia’s official social media channels. Updates on the campaign and Childhope’s programmes are also available on the organisation’s Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, and YouTube accounts.
