Bangkok, Thailand — IHG Hotels & Resorts continues to expand its footprint in Thailand with the signing of voco Bangkok Siam, a 350-room premium hotel set to open in 2029.
“Thailand continues to thrive as a top global travel destination, and we’re committed to supporting its growth by expanding our diverse brand portfolio,” said Vivek Bhalla, managing director for South East Asia & Korea, IHG Hotels & Resorts.
The project marks a new partnership with SCX Corporation Company Limited, a subsidiary of SC Asset Public Company Limited, one of the country’s top real estate developers.
Located in the heart of Bangkok’s commercial and retail district, the 28-storey hotel will rise along Phayathai Road, directly across from Siam Discovery and steps from major shopping destinations such as Siam Paragon, Siam Square, and MBK Center.
With its central location and distinctive design, voco Bangkok Siam is set to become a landmark addition to IHG’s growing presence in the capital.
The signing highlights IHG’s strategic growth in Thailand, where it currently operates 40 hotels across nine brands, with plans to significantly expand in both city and resort destinations.
The voco brand, IHG’s fastest-growing premium offering, is central to this strategy. With over 100 hotels open and another 100-plus in the pipeline globally, voco’s approachable luxury and flexible model make it ideal for dynamic urban markets like Bangkok.
The new signing aligns with IHG’s broader expansion across Southeast Asia, with a focus on high-growth cities and leisure hubs. The partnership with SCX Corporation further underscores the group’s commitment to collaborating with leading local developers to deliver differentiated guest experiences.
“We’re excited to debut voco in Bangkok later this year and bring voco Bangkok Siam to life in 2029 with SCX Corporation. This milestone strengthens our momentum in the Thai market,” Bhalla said.
