Singapore – Lenovo Singapore has unveiled a slate of football-themed initiatives ahead of the FIFA World Cup 2026, appointing local football legend Fandi Ahmad as its official brand ambassador while launching immersive fan experiences and an AI-powered coaching pilot.
As the Official Technology Partner of the FIFA World Cup 2026, Lenovo will roll out activations across Singapore spanning fan engagement, youth development and sports technology, bringing together football, artificial intelligence and community experiences.
Fandi Ahmad will front Lenovo Singapore’s upcoming campaigns leading up to and throughout the tournament.
The former national football captain will participate in the launch of Lenovo’s Re:Match Experience Store at *SCAPE alongside his son, Irfan Fandi, attend community events and support the company’s AI initiatives in local football development.
Nigel Lee, General Manager of Lenovo Singapore, said Fandi embodies the resilience, dedication and continuous growth that the brand aims to champion through its FIFA-related initiatives.
He added that the partnership reflects Lenovo’s commitment to equipping future generations with technology that enables them to learn, connect and grow.
From 11 June to 20 July, Lenovo will also power fan engagement activities at CHIJMES and Capitol Singapore, where football enthusiasts can participate in AI-driven experiences, including a photobooth that transforms visitors into digital football avatars wearing their favourite teams’ kits.
The technology company is also sponsoring a “Spend & Score” campaign, allowing shoppers at both destinations to compete for prizes, including the grand prize of a Lenovo Yoga Slim 7i Ultra FIFA World Cup 26 Edition laptop.
Meanwhile, Lenovo will support the Hypebeast Cup Singapore at WEAVE, Resorts World Sentosa, featuring an EA SPORTS FC tournament and lifestyle experiences throughout the tournament period.
Beyond fan experiences, Lenovo has partnered with the Institute of Technical Education (ITE) on a year-long AI Foundry pilot programme designed to support the development of junior football coaches.
The initiative combines motion-capture technology and AI prediction models, drawing on Fandi’s coaching expertise while involving students from ITE College Central’s School of AI and School of Sports Science.
According to Lee, the programme demonstrates how Lenovo’s hybrid AI ecosystem can deliver practical benefits by enhancing both fan experiences and sports development initiatives.
He noted that the company’s FIFA World Cup partnership serves as a platform to build a longer-term, technology-driven legacy within Singapore’s sporting ecosystem.
