Spritzer Sparkling highlights modern takes on Raya traditions through festive campaign and musical film

Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia – Beverage brand Spritzer has launched its Hari Raya Aidilfitri campaign titled ‘Serikan Raya, Sparkling-kan Suasana’, highlighting the role of its Spritzer Sparkling water as both a beverage mixer and a potential ingredient for festive cooking.

Through the initiative, the brand encourages Malaysians to explore modern interpretations of traditional Raya dishes while maintaining their cultural roots.

Shiao Chan, head of marketing at Spritzer, said, “Hari Raya Aidilfitri is a celebration deeply rooted in family traditions where food plays a central role in bringing people together. Through ‘Serikan Raya, Sparkling-kan Suasana’, we wanted to show Malaysians that tradition and heritage can co-exist and even be preserved through innovation and new perspectives.”

She added, “Spritzer Sparkling is not just a refreshing beverage for every season, but also a multi-faceted ingredient that can enhance festive dishes and drinks, creating memorable family moments in the kitchen and around the dining table.”

The campaign is also supported by a musical short film titled “Samting-Samting”, featuring Malaysian entertainers Fimie Don, Wani Kayrie, and Elliza Razak. The film follows a newly married couple returning to the husband’s hometown for their first Raya celebration together.

In the story, the young wife experiments with modern cooking techniques using Spritzer Sparkling while preparing traditional family dishes. The plot explores the reactions of family members, including a senior family matriarch who becomes curious about the source of the dishes’ flavours. The narrative blends humour, music, and family dynamics to depict generational perspectives on food and tradition.

As part of the campaign rollout, the brand has also launched a dedicated Raya microsite featuring the recipes highlighted in the initiative. The site includes the musical film, promotional information, meet-and-greet details with the campaign’s ambassadors, and gift-with-purchase promotions available at participating outlets nationwide.
