Singapore – Creative consultancy ballsy has named Becky Leng as managing director, which also coincides with the launch of Kaki Sosial, a dedicated social content studio by ballsy based in Malaysia.
Speaking to MARKETECH APAC, Becky stated that honesty drew her closer to ballsy, and that it is bold, culturally sharp, and deliberate in how it shows up.
“At this stage of my career, I am focused on building something that matters, not just something that scales. This role allows me to shape a consultancy that rewards rigour, clarity of thinking, and creative conviction, without being distracted by noise,” she said.
She also describes ballsy as having a ‘clear point of view and the conviction to stand by it’.
“In an industry that often confuses credentials with capability, the consultancy places real value on thinking, craft, and the people behind the work,” she added.
A young consultancy challenging legacy thinking
Prior to joining ballsy, Becky was the managing director for NP Digital Singapore, where she led the agency’s regional expansion and business growth across Southeast Asia. Prior to this, she also served in several leadership roles for SearchGuru prior to it being acquired by NP Digital.
With her joining a fairly new creative consultancy, Becky remarked how being young is an advantage when it is paired with intent.
“ballsy is not weighed down by habit or legacy thinking. We move quickly, challenge defaults, and push work until it earns its place in culture,” she said.
Reflecting on this, Becky stated, “What excites me is creating campaigns that are sharp, grounded, and unapologetically real. We are less interested in work that simply looks good, and more focused on work that actually connects. That closeness to culture, people, and how content is consumed today gives our work edge and longevity.”
Expectations for ballsy’s 2026 growth
For Becky, the priority for her first months in ballsy is focus and discipline. Moreover, she will also highlight clear strategy, high creative standards, and accountability across the business.
“In the first six months, I will be strengthening how we think, how we execute, and how we operate as a consultancy. Just as importantly, I want to build a culture where people are backed to do their best work, challenged to grow, and held to standards that push them forward. That balance is critical to building something that lasts,” she explained.
When asked about expectations on ballsy’s growth for 2026, she stated that the consultancy will be more deliberate about the work they take on and clearer about what they stand for.
“This is not about chasing every brief or trend. It is about building a body of work that is culturally relevant, commercially effective, and hard to ignore,” she said.
In terms of what she aims to achieve at ballsy, she noted, “My role is to bring structure and a regional perspective while preserving the edge that defines ballsy. Growth should sharpen the consultancy, not dilute it. That is the benchmark we are setting as we move into the next phase.”

As ballsy enters its next phase with Becky Leng at the helm, the consultancy is positioning itself to grow with intent rather than inertia—doubling down on cultural relevance, creative rigour, and a clearly defined point of view.
With the launch of Kaki Sosial and a renewed emphasis on focus and discipline, ballsy is signalling that its ambitions for 2026 are less about scale for scale’s sake, and more about building work, teams, and partnerships that endure. In a region crowded with agencies chasing the next trend, ballsy’s bet is that conviction, clarity, and closeness to culture will be what ultimately sets it apart.
