Manila, Philippines — Haleon, a consumer healthcare company known for brands such as Centrum, Sensodyne, and Robitussin, has appointed Maimai Madrid-Punzalan as its new general manager for the Philippines, succeeding Jeffrey Go, who now leads Haleon Taiwan.
Previously known as GSK Consumer Health, Haleon’s portfolio covers multivitamins, oral care, and over-the-counter medicines.
Punzalan joins Haleon with more than 20 years of experience in marketing, commercial strategy, and retail transformation across both multinational corporations and start-ups. She has previously held leadership roles at Procter & Gamble, Johnson & Johnson, and Growsari, where she served as general manager for Sarimart and chief marketing officer for Growsari Enterprise.
Haleon also stated that Punzalan’s appointment comes at a time when the company is accelerating its ‘Win as One’ strategy, a plan aimed at reaching one billion additional consumers globally by 2030 through science-based innovation and improved access to health products.
“Haleon’s purpose to deliver better everyday health with humanity resonates strongly with me,” said Maimai Madrid-Punzalan, general manager of Haleon Philippines.
“It’s a privilege to lead a company that deeply understands the lives of Filipinos and is dedicated to caring for their overall health and well-being. Together with the Haleon team, our customers, and partners, I am excited to create meaningful impact and bring health into more hands across the Philippines,” Punzalan added.
The company said the Philippines remains a key growth market, citing a 2024 Euromonitor study showing that six in ten Filipinos take multivitamins, highlighting a growing interest in self-care and wellness.
Punzalan’s leadership will also focus on expanding innovation, strengthening digital engagement, and increasing access to health solutions across the country.
According to Haleon, this leadership transition signals a new phase of purpose-driven growth, centred on empowering Filipinos to take charge of their health through trusted, science-based, and accessible products.
