Singapore – Toyota Motor Asia-Pacific has renewed its partnership with dentsu Singapore and ONE Esports as part of its upcoming TOYOTA GAZOO Racing (TGR) GT Cup ASIA 2022. This marks the third instalment of said event, and will take place on October 9 this year.

The upcoming GT Cup spans across seven markets in Asia, namely Indonesia, Malaysia, Philippines, Singapore, Taiwan, Thailand, and South Korea, and will feature enhanced race formats before the Global Finals of the TGR GT Cup in November 2022.

Under the continued partnership, dentsu Singapore and ONE Esports will work with TMAP to run the regional sim racing competition in “Gran Turismo 7” for Playstation. This includes video content production, such as competition highlights, player interviews, among others. 

In addition, a series of articles covering the competition in localised languages will be published on ONE Esports’ website, oneesports.gg, while the competition will be broadcasted across its digital channels, including Facebook, Twitch, and YouTube.

Singapore – Insurance company FWD Group has appointed ONE Esports to drive the gaming and esports vertical of FWD’s flagship lifestyle app Omne, aiming to change the way the esports community feels about insurance.

The partnership will span across Indonesia, Japan, Thailand, and Vietnam, deepening FWD Group’s reach and engagement within the gaming and esports community in Asia.

Omne is a new mobile app by FWD Group that empowers individuals with a unique set of value propositions centred on personalised goal-based journeys to help bring the best out of them. The app is also designed to help people celebrate living and empower micro-habits for everyday success.

Singapore – Marriott Bonvoy, Marriott International’s award-winning travel program and marketplace, has partnered with ONE Esports, an esports media subsidiary of ONE Championship (ONE), to launch ‘Gamer’s Paradise’, a 15-episode variety talk show series. This all-new programme will feature content that celebrates the diversity of gaming and esports culture across Indonesia, Japan, Malaysia, the Philippines, South Korea, and Singapore, as well as Thailand, and Vietnam.

‘Gamer’s Paradise’ will feature the best esports athletes, gaming and influencer talent, and industry experts. Its episodes will centre on a theme, from deep dives into popular gaming titles to explorations of broad industry trends. Each episode will be broken down into five engaging segments, namely ‘The Pulse’, which features a panel of experts and gaming celebrities discussing the hottest gaming and esports topics, ‘Hero Story’ (Stories of Inspiration), an in-depth interview with Asia’s favourite esports heroes and personalities, and ‘Gamer’s Haven’ (A Day Away From The Game), a day of relaxation using Marriott’s facilities, offering esports personalities and gaming celebrities a much-needed break, as well as ‘Side Quest’, a feature on the best video game worlds in history, and lastly, ‘House Party’, where hosts and guests that appear on the episode will participate in a variety of geek-themed party games.

The programme will be hosted by popular ‘Super Host’ and emcee Eri Neeman and ONE Esports’ MikaFabs. Neeman has hosted several premiere esports events and tournaments such as the ESL One Birmingham 2019, ESL One Manila 2016, Manila Masters, and REV Major, while MikaFabs is a writer, producer, and esports host, who has hosted international tournaments for Valorant and League of Legends: Wild Rift.

The LCK Summer Split 2022, which will take place from 15 June to August 2022 in South Korea, will see 10 of the best League of Legends teams from Korea compete for a US$370,000 prize pool.

Through this appointment, ONE Esports will manage the production of localised content related to the LCK Summer Split 2022, including short-form videos and written coverage. All video content, including tournament highlights, player interviews, and fan interactions, amongst others, will be distributed across ONE Esports’ digital channels.

Singapore – A new game show is set to stir the masses and will be bridging the gap between gaming and regular television. Launched by Yup.gg, Good Game Asia will feature a star-studded line-up of gaming talent competing for over $200,000 in cash and prizes. The show is helmed by Asia’s Got Talent alum Jonathan Glazier as director and executive producer.

Good Game Asia will be supported by their official media partner ONE Esports and shall be hosted by Singaporean music artist Sezairi and his wife, Syaza Tan. In regard to the feature music, the show will tap their official music partner – independent record label Monstercat. The reality TV show will be set in the luxury hotel Fairmont Singapore.

China – ONE Holdings’ esports media company ONE Esports has been appointed by video game company Electronic Arts (EA) as its official tournament organiser and lead agency for the EACC 2022, an inter-Asian esports tournament for EA SPORTS FIFA Online 4.

According to EA, there will be two EACCs held in the second quarter and third quarter of this year, EACC Spring 2022 and EACC Summer 2022, both featuring 12 teams across China, Korea, Thailand, and Vietnam. EACC Spring will take place from 18 to 24 April 2022, where teams will compete over a week of intense competition.

As part of the agreement, ONE Esports will be providing full event execution and live production with players and talent for both EACCs in English, Korean, Mandarin, Thai, and Vietnamese. ONE Esports will also collaborate with EA to produce exciting content and comprehensive coverage of the tournaments for fans. The content will be available in local languages and published on the ONE Esports website, oneesports.gg, and across its social media channels.

Jason Teo, ONE Esport’s vice president of business development, shared that they know that a significant portion of ONE Esports fans is passionate about the EA SPORTS FIFA franchise.

Malaysia – Financial institution HSBC has partnered with esports media company ONE Esports, aimed at changing the way players engage with esports.

ONE Esports said that in-game resource management is a crucial strategic aspect of esports, but there is little financial guidance on how to optimise these valuable assets. As part of the partnership, both HSBC and ONE Esports will be delivering tailor-made content to help players manage prized resources in multiplayer online battle arena (MOBA) games, with useful hints and tips. The expert advice will also be designed to be transferable to life outside of gaming.

Moreover, ONE’s Analytics and Insights team will also be conducting research and producing a report on the SEA esports community’s preferences and behaviour’s related to financial services.
