Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia – PETRONAS has released a new film titled With ‘All Our Hearts’ in conjunction with this year’s National Day and Malaysia Day celebrations.
The production, directed by Ismail Kamarul, focuses on the enduring significance of the ‘Rukun Negara’ (National Principles) as a pledge that unites Malaysians.
Set in a classroom, the story follows a new teacher, Cikgu Murni, who realises that students often recite the Rukun Negara during assembly without fully understanding its meaning. She then guides them to appreciate the values of unity, loyalty, justice, and morality outlined in the national principles.
The film continues PETRONAS’ tradition of festive storytelling, using everyday narratives to inspire unity and reflection. It aligns with the theme Malaysia MADANI: Rakyat Disantuni (Malaysia Madani: People Cared For) and encourages Malaysians to view the Rukun Negara not merely as words, but as guiding principles to be lived by.
Norafizal Mat Saad, vice president of group strategic relations and communications at PETRONAS said, “The Rukun Negara is more than a pledge we recite. It is an enduring promise that calls us to honour our shared values in every action we take. This is what inspired us to produce this film for every Malaysian to embrace. May these values, when truly lived, keep us united as one nation, with all our hearts.”
