Mumbai, India — Haier has released an AI-led Christmas film, marking the festive season with a narrative centered on belief, connection, and the idea of Christmas magic finding its way home.
Titled ‘Christmas is for Everyone’ and done alongside SW Network, the film follows an unconventional protagonist, a Christmas cookie, as it moves through a series of interconnected worlds. What begins inside a family home evolves into a broader journey that spans land, sea, and sky, linking different living beings through a shared festive moment.
Developed using AI-led filmmaking techniques, the story opens in a Christmas setting where the cookie is taken by a squirrel, leading to a celebration on a tree branch. It then falls into the ocean, becoming part of an underwater Christmas gathering involving a fish and a dolphin. The dolphin later passes the cookie to a bird mid-air, which ultimately returns it to the children who had wished for it, completing the narrative loop.
Moreover, the film relies on visual transitions and magical realism to move between environments and species. Rather than focusing on spectacle, the storytelling adopts a gentle pace and understated tone, presenting Christmas magic as something subtle and quietly hopeful.
Alongside its festive theme, the film reflects Haier’s broader positioning around technology and innovation. The use of AI is framed as a tool to support creativity and emotional storytelling, highlighting how emerging technologies can be integrated into narrative-driven content.
The release adds to the brand’s seasonal communications for the year, offering a Christmas story that extends beyond human characters and suggests that the spirit of the season can connect all forms of life.
