Singapore – Singapore Flyer has unveiled a multisensory experience reimagining travellers’ pre-flight journey. The Time Capsule, in celebration of Singapore’s 60th year of independence, consists of a two-storey attraction initially opened in 2020.
With cutting-edge multimedia, Singapore Flyer’s Time Capsule immerses travellers in interactive exhibits as a prelude to their journey. It culminates with 360-degree views of the city’s skyline.

The interactive journey is led by a robot named R65, made in collaboration with creative studio Untitled Project. Guests travel in time through video animations, projection mapping, and light detection and ranging technology. The blend of media uncovers mythical legends of Singapore.
Guests can also witness the Singapore River, which flows through the country’s history, and view a chess-tile concrete table featuring a 300-degree projection that narrates Singapore’s transformation.

There are also Peranakan-themed installations, interactive games, and multimedia showcases that further embody Singapore’s identity. Guests can use the Time Capsule web app to scan QR codes, enriching the experience.
Ringo Leung, general manager of Singapore Flyer, said, “The reimagined Singapore Flyer journey invites everyone to experience the Singapore story in an entirely fresh and entertaining way, from the ground to the sky. By integrating immersive on-ground adventures with interactive in-capsule experiences, we aim to present a fun, multifaceted perspective of Singapore that goes beyond the traditional observation wheel experience.”
