Singapore – Marriott Hotels in APEC has recently launched its global campaign ‘Wonderful Hospitality Never Sleeps’, focused on capturing the essence of global hospitality, spotlighting authentic moments of care and thoughtfulness tailored to guests in Japan, India, and beyond.

Conceptualised alongside The Secret Little Agency (TSLA), the campaign’s local expressions bring the global tagline to life by showcasing how hospitality manifests across cultures. Inspired by real stories and insights, scenarios range from a child enjoying both dosa and pancakes in India to a Marriott Hotel associate surprising a guest with a thoughtful gesture in Japan. Each moment captures the true essence of hospitality in its cultural context.

Directed by Australian filmmaker Jared Deparis and produced by The Sweet Shop, the campaign features evocative scenes shot on-location in India and Japan. The film celebrates the spirit of hospitality through real and relatable moments, and most importantly, capturing all the little gestures and everything that goes behind the scenes that makes your stay wonderful.

Nicholas Ye and Mavis Neo, co-chief creative officers at TSLA, said, “Hospitality is a big word. It means different things to different people. For some, it’s being greeted by name as a returning guest. For others, it’s something as simple as peeled fruit on arrival. This vastness in expectations, and how Marriott Hotels quietly continues to deliver on them, inspired the heart of this campaign. It is about the little gestures and the behind-the-scenes effort that make every stay at Marriott Hotels wonderful.”

Moreover, the campaign was developed by The Suite, a collective of independent award-winning agencies across Asia led by TSLA, and is a testament to Marriott Hotels’ commitment to authenticity and cultural relevance.

Through The Suite, TSLA partnered with UltraSuperNew in Japan and Talented in India, both leading creative independent agencies in their respective markets. From the research phase to final executions, all partners collaborated closely to ensure the work was powered by genuine insights and cultural nuances.

“All our partners were embedded within the process from the start, and we approached the work as one team, acting as one agency from the get-go. We needed to change the dynamic of multi-market partnerships to deliver the authenticity we strived for – we knew wanted no adaptors, only originators and for all our work to be powered by real strategic and cultural insights. Our partners worked closely with us at every stage to ensure resonance for APEC, India and Japan, down to the final executions,” both Nicholas and Mavis added.

To empower local artisans and entrepreneurs, Renaissance Hotels has designed the marketplace to be commission-free, allowing small businesses to widen their reach globally without additional costs.

The digital platform has been assembled with Reinassance Hotels’ Navigators, the brand’s community experts with connections on-ground. The Navigators helped curate local products from hidden creative businesses.

Customers can find handcrafted goods and food from ‘R Finds,’ representing the distinct culture of different neighborhoods.

The platform features brands Amorío from Mexico, EIRA from India, Larimar from the Dominican Republic, Suraquia from Spain, and Mince from Thailand. It also includes US retailers like Sunday Standard, Ox & Pine Leather Goods, and Meyer the Hatter.

Embodying an editorial approach, the site features content from Wallpaper magazine and contributions from celebrity guest editors.

The debut of ‘R Finds’ is part of Renaissance Hotels’ commemoration of Global Day of Discovery each Nov. 19, which celebrates local communities and businesses through events.

“With the launch of R FINDS, we’re evolving Global Day of Discovery from a one-day celebration of localism to a platform that fosters meaningful connections year-round. This digital marketplace connects travelers instantly to unique makers from around the world, proving that our commitment to generating positive and sustained impact for our neighbors extends far beyond the walls of each hotel,” Jennifer Connell, vice president and global brand leader of premium distinctive and collection brands at Marriott International, commented.

Singapore – Marriott Bonvoy, a travel programme and marketplace under Marriott International, has launched its new campaign to celebrate the return of travel in APAC. Titled ‘Here’, the campaign builds on Marriott Bonvoy‘s global tagline ‘Where Can We Take You’, with ‘Here’ as an expression for revelling the authentic, relatable little moments missed by travellers.

Created in collaboration with Singapore-based creative company, The Secret Little Agency, the films were shot across Malaysia, Indonesia, Japan. and New Zealand. The films celebrate the power of travel with moments that everyone can relate to, from trips with best friends to family vacations. The idea also extends to the key visuals, from wading through the muddy but scenic green rice terraces in Bali, to getting unexpectedly caught in the lively celebration of Holi in India.

Bart Buiring, Marriott International’s chief sales and marketing officer for APAC, shared that while travelling can be about fabulous bucket-list destinations and dining in world-class restaurants or local food at hawker stalls; they recognise that there are likely also unexpected, spontaneous, and perhaps some less-than-perfect but memorable moments.

“With our new Marriott Bonvoy campaign, we hope to inspire travellers to embark on their next Asian journey and thoroughly enjoy the return of travel. We want to remind them that the joy of travel is as much about unscripted and authentic moments as the picture-perfect ones. It’s all these little moments that make big memories and leave you craving for your next adventure,” said Buiring.

The campaign is available in both digital and out-of-home media across APAC. The film and visuals will also be prominently featured across several locations including at Seoul’s Gimpo Airport, Tokyo’s bustling Shibuya Metro Station, and Melbourne’s Central Station. Moreover, it will appear on select inflight entertainment and across digital and social channels.

Travellers are also invited to join the conversation and connect with one another by using #TravelMakesUs to share their travel moments on Instagram and TikTok.

Bali, Indonesia – As the Indonesian province of Bali gears up for reopening to tourists this year, Marriott International’s loyalty program Marriott Bonvoy and tourism gateway Bali.com have teamed up for a one-stop platform where travellers can book a travel arrangement to Bali under one platform.

Through the partnership, selected Marriott Bonvoy resorts in Bali and Bali.com will be offering a one-stop booking journey that includes a vacation accommodation and express travel visa on Marriott.com, or the destination platform. The express travel visa application process will be facilitated by Bali.com.

In addition, Marriott Bonvoy Members will enjoy 10% off the express travel visa application fee should they wish to make their own visa arrangements with Bali.com.

Ramesh Jackson, area vice president for Indonesia at Marriott International, said that they have always been a firm believer in the advancement of travel recovery, and with the re-opening of Bali to international guests, they are excited to work with Bali.com.

“We can identify that travel in this day and age is no longer what it used to be. With so many options on information channels and sources, it can be confusing and time consuming for travellers to navigate through reliable information. That is why we felt it was important to provide guests with a one click travel solution. This alliance is designed to provide guests with a worry-free seamless booking journey for their mandated quarantine stay with the option of a travel visa packaged together under Marriott’s integrated platform,” Jackson said.

Meanwhile, Michael Strobel, founder at Bali.com, commented that travellers are craving well-researched and reliable information and travel partners, hence they are extremely happy to be part of this campaign and to cooperate with Marriott Bonvoy resorts in Indonesia, in providing travellers with a transparent quarantine package and a booking experience that includes the e-visa.

“Bali.com is determined to play a supporting role in facilitating the return of tourists to Bali and Indonesia overall. We had a few million visitors on Bali.com during the pandemic who were looking for information about travel and visa regulations since Indonesia closed its borders in March 2020,” Strobel said.

He added, “The interest in Bali is still strong and people want to come back. We understand the importance during these uncertain times, to provide absolutely reliable information and guide and assist our visitors to take informed choices so they can enjoy a great holiday the moment the opportunity arises to visit Bali again.”
