Singapore – Changi Airport Group and Jewel Changi Airport are celebrating Singapore’s 60th anniversary through a lineup of events for July and August. The celebration, themed “Together, We Make Magic,” aims to honour Singapore’s unique identity and its people.
As part of the celebration, Changi Airport is set to host the SG60 Changi Airport Charity Walk on July 27 as a fundraising event. Happening at the Changi Airport Connector, the event supports Community Chest-funded programs for children with special needs and youth-at-risk.
Participants will receive a race pack, including an event tee, eco-bag, and retail vouchers. Along the two-kilometre route, participants can enjoy interactive trivia stations and nostalgic local treats.
Jewel is also hosting the SG60 Homecoming Concert featuring Stefanie Sun, Kit Chan, Sezairi, Regina Song, The Freshman (插班生), and SuperSonic.
Meanwhile, the airport will be embellished with images of iconic Singaporean locations. At Terminal 3, Changi will also showcase horticultural displays, highlighting Singapore’s national flower.
In August, the Changi Experience Studio will unveil the ‘Evolution of Travel’ pop-up exhibition. It will trace the transformation of air travel, from traditional agencies to digital booking platforms.
Jayson Goh, executive vice-president of airport management at Changi Airport Group, said, “We’re excited to launch celebrations for our nation’s 60th birthday. Changi Airport has grown alongside our nation, and it is a place which holds precious memories for many Singaporeans and travellers. With a vibrant line-up of events, we look forward to welcoming everyone to be part of the SG60 festivities at Changi Airport.”
