Sydney, Australia – Consulting-led digital marketing agency Orange Line has appointed Brian Collins as head of growth to lead the global expansion of its innovative product offerings, with a strong focus on scaling in the United States. 

Bringing 14 years’ experience in digital strategy and growth marketing, Collins excels in securing global accounts, scaling teams and driving revenue. 

Reporting to Aishling Farrell, general manager at Orange Line, his role will focus on identifying growth opportunities, building new business and enhancing Orange Line’s presence across international markets.

Prior to moving to Australia, Collins was Head of UK Digital for Ogilvy in London where he worked with brands including Mattel across EMEA, Vodafone, Nokia, Bacardi and British Airways. 

Collins previously held other senior leadership roles at ContentCal (acquired by Adobe) and Strong Roots (acquired by McCains). Since moving to Australia, Collins has worked on brands like Oroton, Eckersley’s Arts & Crafts, and Charter Hall.

Manila, Philippines – HAVAS Ortega has announced the appointment of Rozzaine Valenzuela as its new head of growth, and will also serve as the deputy general manager leading the Arena Media brand. Her track record in driving business development and implementing transformative strategies is poised to propel HAVAS Ortega to new heights.

In her new role, Rozzaine will lead initiatives to expand the agency’s client base and advance its service offerings. Additionally, she will oversee operations for the Arena Media to ensure that the agency integrates strategies that only deliver impactful results for its clients.

She brings with her 15 years of experience in the media and advertising field, having previously held roles at Mindshare, Publicis Media, and most recently a regional client leadership role for SEA and Taiwan.

Rozzaine’s appointment is effective immediately, and she will be working directly with the various specialty teams of the HAVAS Village.

Singapore – Data and AI company ADA has appointed Anthony Chan as its new head of growth. Chan will be spearheading the company’s marketing technology sales team across the APAC region. 

Chan bring with him 25 years of experience in martech sales and partnership management with top companies Microsoft, Sitecore, and Braze, and was most recently vice president and enterprise sales leader of Merkle APAC Region. Chan has supervised exponential growth across multiple businesses throughout his globetrotting career. 

The agency said the appointment is part of its ambitious plans to grow its martech business. Chan’s responsibility is to strengthen ADA’s portfolio of digital marketing solutions for brands. His team will be overseeing ADA’s sales progression and contribute to the firm’s plans in strengthening its position as the region’s largest independent analytics, data, and AI business.

Manila, Philippines – Business development veteran Joven Barceñas has recently joined international-wide UX and digital development agency Adaptis as its head of growth.

Prior to Adaptis, Barceñas was most notably the regional head of advertising and sponsorship sales at Lighthouse Independent Media in 2018, the publisher of Singapore-based Marketing Magazine. 

For his new role at Adaptis, Barceñas will be responsible for the firm’s business growth through business development and marketing, and also to improve processes within the function. Adaptis is a collective of digital development studios strategically located in Europe and Southeast Asia, providing experience-led technical capabilities to global clients. 

On his appointment, Barceñas said, “With almost a decade of exposure to media, marketing, and technology, I always wanted to discover what I can do and learn more in the tech space. I am very excited to be a frontrunner in humanizing technology through the apps and websites we create.”

Barceñas also shared to MARKETECH APAC that while the role charges him to focus on the company’s Australia, Singapore, and Thailand markets, his role “has no boundaries,” and that whenever opportunities strike within Adaptis’ other markets, he is more than ready to grab them.

Meanwhile, on his personal insights on the changes in the business development landscape amid the pandemic, Barceñas commented, “The most positive thing with virtual selling is that you can do 2 to 3 business meetings in 2 hours as it saves you time to travel from one place to another.”

He continued, “This means the business developers should have been more productive during these times. I think the main challenge is to effectively use the first meeting as an opportunity to build a better foundation of trust and relationship with new clients.”
