Manila, Philippines – Inter-regional integrated communications agency COMCO Southeast Asia has recently announced the promotion and appointment of homegrown managers and talents to key deputy positions in the company.

AC Recio, who began his career as a digital and multimedia arts associate at COMCO SEA, has been elevated to becoming the agency’s partner / digital, social and content administrator pro tempore, and senior digital and multimedia arts manager. Meanwhile, Queenie Resmundo, who was former production and administration associate is now promoted to public relations and communications administrator pro tempore and brand communications manager. She will also become a lead in stakeholder relationship management through COMCO SEA’s MEXINAC (Media, Experts, Influencers, Activators and Communities) program.

Another homegrown talent given a strategic role in the organization is Harvey Llamosa who has been with COMCO SEA since the Agency launched in 2016. He started at COMCO SEA as an executive projects associate and has been working closely with the company’s Regional Integration and Chief Executive Director Ferdinand Bondoy on various landmark executive and strategic initiatives. Today, Llamosa is not only the senior executive initiatives and communications manager at the agency but is also a partner and the chief of staff to the group chief executive director.

Finally, Patricia Raña, one of the agency’s most trusted Corporate Services Unit members, has been promoted to special assistant to the comptroller and senior corporate services officer. Raña joined COMCO SEA in 2018 as a finance and administration associate.

All four had been products of the Camp COMCO Mentorship Program – the intensive, and comprehensive talent incubation, industry linkage, and apprenticeship program of the Agency. The agency said each promotion is “nothing short of special” because the said members have been with COMCO SEA from the beginning.

Chief Executive Director Ferdinand Bondoy said, “As a hands-on leader of COMCO Southeast Asia, I have had the great pleasure of training and working with our most valued apprentices and witnessing them turn into rock stars of the industry! And for them to obtain the positions and recognitions they have now as well as grow in their craft and in their life as a whole, is my greatest honor, the best award I have ever received.”

Manila, Philippines – To celebrate COMCO Southeast Asia‘s sixth anniversary, the integrated communications agency based in the Philippines has unveiled its new global headquarters in Makati, the business capital of the Philippines, as part of its expansion.

The new headquarters will house COMCO Mundo League of Enterprises’ current and upcoming ventures – COMCO SEA, COMCO Middle East & Africa (MEA), Camp COMCO Alumni Society, and Citizen COMCO Advocacy Program, as well as SEA Wave Pop Culture Studio, and Taro Digital AOX.

Each area is inspired by different pop culture references rooted in COMCO’s love for movies, series, music, books, and all the emerging platforms out there. The COMCO SEA workstation is called the ‘Millennium Falcon’, while the executive office is dubbed the ‘Cerebro’.

Meanwhile, the rest of the areas are ‘Rivendel’ for the Corporate Services Unit, ‘Black Castle’ for the Digital and Multimedia Arts Unit, ‘Watch Tower Hall’ for the conference room, ‘Bifrost Bridge’ for the reception, and ‘Room of Requirements’ for the stock room, as well as ‘Wooley Hall’ for the lounge area.

Following its launch during COMCO SEA’s Blazing Sapphire anniversary event last year, COMCO Middle East and Africa is now in full blast servicing various brands in the market. In its first year, COMCO MEA has already worked with notable brands in the Middle East such as Buono Buono, Nolte, Open Thrill, Paus, and POPC Live!, as well as Red Shrimp, and TruCARE, amongst many others.

Moreover, COMCO MEA, together with COMCO SEA, also recently conducted property roadshows for Philippine property firm RLC Residences in Dubai and Abu Dhabi as amongst the group’s first of many synergy initiatives.

COMCO SEA also continued to strengthen its client portfolio for its sixth year, winning major accounts in recent inter-agency pitches for premiere brands/organisations such as MR. DIY, United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA), and Lenovo, as well as Skechers, and Lalamove, amongst others.

Philippines – COMCO Southeast Asia (SEA), the Integrated communications agency headquartered in the Philippines, has announced that it will be expanding to the Middle East & Africa (MEA). This was revealed in the ‘Blazing Sapphire’ main event to mark its fifth-year celebration, where the agency unveiled several major initiatives including its master plan for the next 10 years.

The agency said that the launch of COMCO MEA aims to bring COMCO’s brand of meaningful storytelling to the United Arab Emirates (UAE) and the rest of the MEA region. The expansion also makes it poised to open doors of opportunities for COMCO’s client partners to take advantage of the multi-cultural team’s knowledge and network of both flourishing and fast-moving markets and to unlock the gateway to launching inter-regional campaigns.

The expansion to MEA is especially momentous to the agency as UAE plays host to the World Expo, which deems to be one of the first and largest international events in the world, taking place every five years and lasting six months. With the COMCO team’s local presence, the agency aims to guide brands that are aiming to get a foothold at Expo 2020 which presents a truly global audience.

COMCO MEA will be spearheaded by Tricia Cusi-Jimenea, COMCO SEA’s business development director, partner and co-founder, and communications professional with over a decade of experience in the MEA market.

Cusi-Jimenea commented that it is an honor and a huge responsibility to bring this brand that they co-founded to MEA, and that as they expand their operations, they are guided by the company’s values of using the power of communication as a tool to not only serve their clients but also the community.

“From igniting brand love to executing impactful and meaningful campaigns that improve and enrich the lives of our stakeholders, our COMCO MEA team is committed to continuing the trailblazing path that our COMCO SEA family has paved for us,” she said.

During the event, COMCO also gave a glimpse of its 10-year master plan which includes the formation of the COMCO AOX League of Enterprises, the umbrella group for all of COMCO’s existing and upcoming ventures, initiatives, and advocacies. Forming the COMCO AOX League are COMCO Southeast Asia, COMCO Middle East & Africa, SEA Wave Pop Culture Magazine, and Citizen COMCO Advocacy Group, as well as Camp COMCO Alumni Society, and upcoming ventures Taro Digital AOX and COMCOffee Club, with more in the pipeline to be unveiled in the next couple of years.

The ‘Blazing Sapphire’ event is part of COMCO SEA’s year-long fifth-anniversary celebration, which also includes the virtual town hall and digital unveiling of COMCO SEA’s brand evolution and the inauguration of the Camp COMCO Alumni Society ‘Unity Games’, among others.
