Singapore – Validus Capital has appointed Vineet Agarwal as the new CEO of Validus Capital in Singapore, effective from 1 August.

Vineet brings with him a wealth of experience from his senior leadership roles at DBS and American Express from 2008 to 2021. Under his leadership, Validus aims to drive innovation and growth through strategic partnerships, embedded finance, alternative data, and AI-driven data analytics, further solidifying its market-leading position in Singapore.

Nikhilesh Goel, Co-founder and Group CEO of Validus, expressed confidence in Vineet’s appointment, stating that Validus is well-positioned to enter the next phase of expansion under his guidance. The appointment follows the retirement of Jayanta Roy, the outgoing CEO of Validus Capital Singapore, who leaves behind a distinguished three-decade career in banking and financial services.

As Validus moves forward under Vineet’s leadership, the company remains steadfast in its mission to empower SMEs with comprehensive financial solutions and expand its presence in the region’s competitive financial landscape.

Meanwhile, Vineet, who previously worked as the President of Payments at Validus, played a pivotal role in the successful rollout of Validus’ comprehensive SME financial services offering in Singapore.

Australia – Icon Agency has taken a significant step towards expanding its market presence by appointing Tom Lock as the new PR senior account director to lead its entry into the state.

With extensive experience managing prominent B2C and B2B clients in sectors like automotive, property, health, and FMCG, Lock joins Icon to spearhead growth in the Queensland market and enhance the agency’s national consumer and healthcare client portfolio.
