Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia – National postal and parcel service provider Pos Malaysia and Penang-based protective and customised tech accessories company Galado have announced their second limited-edition collaboration, celebrating Pos Malaysia as an iconic brand through innovative design and artistic expression.

The 2024 collection of phone cases builds upon the success of the first collection that was introduced last year, featuring six distinctive design illustrations that pay homage to Pos Malaysia’s rich heritage.

Highlighting the evolution of their collaboration, this year’s collection introduces three brand-new designs while enhancing three popular designs from the previous collection. Most designs feature iconic post boxes and brand elements, with two designs inspired by Abang Pos. Customers can also personalise their cases by transforming cherished personal photos into artistic masterpieces.

The collection includes an array of phone accessories that capture the spirit of postal service: an Iconic Post Box MagSafe Phone Grip, a Pos Malaysia Pop Art Phone Charm, and a Pos Malaysia Crossbody Phone Strap. Engineered with ImpactPro Technology, these phone cases provide unparalleled drop protection while telling a story of community and connection. Compatible with iPhone 12 to 16 series, Samsung S22 to S24 series, Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 3 to 6 series, and Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 3 to 6 series, the collection offers innovative features and personalised design options.

“At Pos Malaysia, we are passionate about building trust to connect lives and businesses for a better tomorrow, and this collaboration exemplifies our commitment to fostering local innovation and meaningful connections. By choosing Pos Malaysia x Galado, consumers not only protect their devices but also support homegrown talent and celebrate Malaysia’s iconic postal heritage,” Pos Malaysia said in a press statement.

They added, “This collaboration invites Malaysians to unleash their creativity, celebrate local artistry, and embrace Pos Malaysia’s iconic status in Malaysian culture. Pos Malaysia x Galado is more than a product line—it’s a movement of local pride, creative expression, and innovative design that connects lives through meaningful brand storytelling.”

Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia – Pos Malaysia has recently released a new animated brand film that showcases the company’s transformation story over the past two centuries to become more than just a post office for the populace today, and its steadfast commitment to delivering connections and improving lives.

The animated brand film is part of Pos Malaysia’s activities as it joins other postal entities globally in celebrating World Post Day 2024.

Pos Malaysia is slated to kick off the promotion of its new brand film from 9 October on various touchpoints including social media and digital billboards. This is followed by a series of activities that will be held at the post offices, with limited edition merchandise up for grabs for customers who make transactions at any of the post offices from 16 October until 31 December 2024.

Syed Faisal Albar, chairman of Pos Malaysia, said, “This short film not only pays homage to Pos Malaysia’s rich and long-standing heritage in the country but more importantly it signifies our commitment to continuously meeting the changing needs of the people of Malaysia in this digital age.”

He added, “Today, Pos Malaysia no longer just delivers mail and parcels; we now offer a variety of innovative products and services, ranging from end-to-end logistics, and aviation (ground handling), to retail and digital solutions. We have come a long way in our purpose of connecting people and businesses for a better tomorrow.”

The theme for this year’s World Post Day, “150 years of enabling communication and empowering peoples across nations”, took centre stage at the local celebration held at Pos Malaysia’s headquarters in Dayabumi Complex earlier today. The event was graced by YB Fahmi Fadzil, Minister of Communications, and YB Teo Nie Ching, Deputy Minister of Communications.

Malaysia – Pos Malaysia Berhad, a national post and parcel service provider, has launched its 36th new store with the new ‘Shop in Shop’ concept, deviating from traditional in-person shopping models. The launch coincides with the celebration of National Day and Malaysia Day 2024.

The new Pos Shop’s design features a post office within the store, a detail that transforms the retail experience of customers. At the one-stop shop, which merges post and parcel services, customers can conveniently find daily essentials.

Besides household products, the new shop also houses the Pos Kafe, offering an array of food and beverages. The shop also offers resources for reloading mobile services and bills payments.

In time for Malaysia’s Independence Day, the company is also set to release a special edition ‘Hari Malaysia’ stamp collection on Sept. 16, expressing Pos Malaysia’s connection to its national heritage.

“Today marks an exhilarating leap forward in our mission to revolutionise postal services for the digital age. We are very excited about the launch of Pos Shop Pudu which epitomises our dedication to reinventing customer experiences. Since launching our first Pos Shop in Jalan Medan Tuanku last May 2023, we’ve seen an average increase of 34% in footfall at associated post offices. This success validates our innovative retail concept that seamlessly blends traditional postal services with modern convenience,” Pos Malaysia’s group chief marketing, communications and sustainability officer, Fiona Liao, stated.

“With the launch of our 36th Pos Shop, we are thrilled to continually innovate our space and refine our product offerings to align with market demands, while providing a comprehensive one-stop solution for both postal and convenience needs. By optimising our existing assets, we are not only enhancing the overall customer experience at our retail outlets but also driving economic growth through strategic partnerships with local SMEs,” Liao explained.

“This approach not only fosters economic development but also supports our communities’ needs, creating a win-win situation for Pos Malaysia, local businesses, and our customers,” Liao added.

YB Teo Nie Ching, deputy minister of communications commented on the initiative, “By modernising its retail presence and supporting local small and medium-size industries, Pos Malaysia is not only enhancing the customer experience and meeting the community’s needs but also making significant contributions to our country’s economic growth and community development.”

Pos Malaysia plans to further expand in the country, aiming for an additional 14 shops nationwide.
