Indonesia – Amid a rising wave of fraud cases posing as parcel delivery services, J&T Express Indonesia has launched an educational campaign urging the public to be more vigilant against suspicious delivery-related communications.

The digital literacy initiative introduces the ‘3C’ approach—Check (Cek), Be Suspicious (Curiga), Cancel (Cancel)—as a simple guide to identifying and avoiding potential fraud. The steps encourage users to verify the accuracy of delivery information, examine details such as tracking numbers carefully, and immediately ignore or report any suspicious notifications.

The campaign features Indonesian horror actress Asmara Abigail, who has firsthand experience as a phishing victim. Her involvement highlights the relevance of the message and reinforces that anyone can be targeted by digital fraud.

On the RJL5 podcast, Asmara Abigail recounted her experience as a victim of phishing disguised as a parcel delivery. In keeping with the podcast’s signature horror style, she described how a seemingly official notification from J&T Express tricked her into providing personal information, including her credit card details. Shortly afterward, she discovered charges totalling tens of millions of rupiah.

The move comes amid growing concerns over the variety of fraud methods in the country. Citing data from Goodstats, J&T Express reported that in 2024, approximately 15 types of cyberattacks threatened Indonesia, including phishing. Parcel delivery channels have increasingly become a medium for such scams.

Through the campaign, J&T Express aims not only to maintain customer trust as a logistics provider but also to contribute to public education and protection against the evolving landscape of digital fraud.

“As a logistics company, we realise that customer trust is the most important thing. Therefore, J&T Express feels responsible to participate in providing education to the public to be more alert toward various fraud methods that use the name of delivery services, including J&T Express,” said Herline Septia, brand manager at J&T Express.

Singapore – Breast Cancer Foundation has teamed up with J&T Express for logistics services during its 16th Pink Ribbon Walk (PRW) commemorating Breast Cancer Awareness Month in October. 

The event was held on Oct. 26 at Marina Barrage. For the first time, Breast Cancer Foundation featured a carnival-style event for the PRW.

Through the event, the Breast Cancer Foundation emphasises the need for awareness and early detection, with 30% of women being diagnosed in Singapore. The PRW encourages women to consider their breast health while supporting survivors.

This year, the foundation aimed to invite participants to join a 3 to 5-kilometer walk along Marina Bay. It aims to foster empowerment, sense of community, innovation, and engagement.

Since the Breast Cancer Foundation’s establishment in 1997, it has aimed to be a symbol of hope and resilience among women.

“While October is synonymous with Breast Cancer awareness, it is important to acknowledge that developing excellent breast health habits and awareness is an ongoing dedication throughout the year. The launch of our iconic PRW event is a testament to our ongoing commitment to heightening awareness about breast cancer, promoting early detection, and being the main port-of-call for all things breast-cancer related,” Adeline Kow, general manager at Breast Cancer Foundation, said.

“At BCF, we believe in the power of community. The Pink Light Up and Pink Ribbon Walk are more than just events; they are movements that bring people together to support, inspire, and create lasting impact. This year, we continue our mission to empower individuals and families who have been affected by the disease, fostering a proactive approach to breast health and ensuring no one faces their breast cancer journey alone,” Kow added.

Rachel Chen, head of general management office at J&T Express Singapore, commented, “Partnering with the Breast Cancer Foundation for the second year running reflects J&T Express’ ongoing commitment to local communities and causes that matter to them. This new feature comes on top of the app’s existing domestic delivery service.

The new app update comes alongside the launch of J&T Express’ new web-based intelligent transport management system, known as JMS, to drive greater operational efficiency

The J&T Singapore App aims to provide a simple and convenient way for everyone – from individuals to small business owners and e-commerce sellers – to access competitively priced delivery services. This is part of J&T Express’ strategic expansion into the consumer market to diversify its offerings and meet growing consumer demand for both domestic and international delivery.

To kickstart the launch of J&T Singapore App’s international delivery feature, J&T Express Singapore is offering a discounted price for shipments to West Malaysia starting from S$4.30–exclusive to prevailing charges–from now till 31 August 2022.

Jakarta, Indonesia – J&T Express, the Indonesian-based express logistics company, has announced its market expansion to the United Arab Emirates and Saudi Arabia, marking the company’s first presence in the Middle East and making their total served markets to ten.

Currently, J&T Express serves primarily in Asia, namely China, Indonesia, Vietnam, Malaysia, Thailand, the Philippines, Cambodia, and Singapore.

The expansion was first conceptualized during April 2021, where J&T has established its own nationwide distribution network and localised warehousing system in the UAE and Saudi Arabia respectively, covering all local provinces and regions in the two countries. 

In addition, as an integral aspect of its courier service, the UAE and Saudi Arabia versions of the J&T Express mobile application have also been launched simultaneously.

Sean Xiao, head of J&T Express Middle East, said, “We hope that with J&T Express’ efficient and comprehensive delivery network, we can effectively improve the shopping experience of consumers in the UAE and Saudi Arabia, and contribute to the development of the e-commerce industry in both countries.”

Meanwhile, Steven Fan, CEO at J&T Express, commented, “The expansion to the UAE and Saudi Arabia marks an important step for J&T Express in establishing a global delivery network. In the future, the company will actively explore opportunities in emerging markets as part of its global strategy to connect the world with greater efficiency and bring logistical benefits to all.”

The latest endeavor for J&T Express comes after their recent funding round of US$2.5 in November 2021, and their acquisition of China-based logistics solutions provider BEST Express.
