Manila, Philippines — Several Ayala Malls in Makati are hosting ‘Art Walk by Ayala Land’, an initiative that brings artworks by Filipino and international artists into public and commercial spaces across the city. Running from January 30 to February 8, the programme coincides with ‘Art Fair Philippines’ and extends art displays beyond traditional gallery settings.

The initiative places installations, performances, and digital works in locations where people regularly gather, including malls, walkways, and transit hubs. Ayala Land said the initiative aims to make art more accessible by integrating it into everyday environments.

“Art Walk by Ayala Land is one of the most anticipated cultural events in the metro, and we’re proud to host it in Ayala Malls,” said Mae Dichupa, Ayala Malls’ head of marketing and consumer experience. “Bringing art closer to communities through our malls allows more people to discover and enjoy it in meaningful, everyday ways.”

Among the featured works is ‘Carousel’ by Ronald Ventura, a large-scale public artwork displayed at Ayala Malls Circuit. At Greenbelt 5 Gallery, Mich Dulce’s ‘Nagsasalitang Ulo’ (Talking Head) and Joel Wijangco’s ‘Art 2 Wear’ explore the intersection of fashion and storytelling through wearable art. Digital installations by Isaiah Cacnio, titled ‘Between Thoughts’, are also being shown at One Ayala, Greenbelt, and Glorietta.

From 26 January to February 8, Greenbelt and the Ayala Foundation are presenting ‘Mothering/Unmothering’, a multidisciplinary exhibition by Triangulum and curated by Vanini Belarmino. The exhibition examines themes of care, autonomy, and women’s lived experiences.

Works on display at Greenbelt and Ayala Museum also include Tekla Tamoria’s ‘AlterBibo, 2026’. Performance-based works are also part of the programme, including Lilibeth Cuenca Rasmussen’s ‘The Mitochondrial Eve’ and Lynn Lu’s ‘Be Afraid Only of Standing Still’, which was staged across Ayala Museum, Greenbelt, and Ayala Triangle Gardens on January 29.

All Art Walk installations hosted at Ayala Malls are free and open to the public. Art Fair Philippines ticketholders are also eligible for dining offers at Ayala Malls Circuit from February 6 to 8, with participating restaurants including Black Canyon, Buffalo Wings N’ Things, Etan Drew’s Gourmet Meat Pie, Mang Rudy’s, and Texas Roadhouse.

Thailand – vivo Thailand, in collaboration with Grey Thailand, has launched a heartwarming Teacher’s Day campaign that beautifully celebrates the unique bond between teachers and students, captured through the lens of the vivo V40.

The campaign highlights the inspiring story of Teacher Waree, a beloved educator whose unwavering dedication and belief in her students’ potential exemplify the true spirit of teaching.

Equipped with the vivo V40, Teacher Waree captured heartfelt portraits of her graduating Grade 12 students, each image reflecting the unique spirit and potential she sees in them. These cherished photographs are now displayed in a school exhibition.

Titled ‘Always in My Eyes,’ the exhibition, organised by vivo and Grey, illustrates how a teacher’s lens captures the best in their students, while the vivo V40’s camera brings those visions to life with breathtaking clarity. It symbolises the heart of a teacher, guiding students toward a bright future and offering them timeless images filled with hope and encouragement.

In addition to the exhibition, the campaign features a heartwarming documentary by Thai filmmaker Puangsoi Aksornsawan, showcasing the bond between teachers and students in Thai schools. The film offers an intimate look into Teacher Waree’s world, with the vivo V40’s ZEISS-powered portrait capabilities beautifully capturing the emotions and connections at the heart of the story.

“A teacher’s dream is to see their students grow and thrive, to become whatever they aspire to be. And no matter how much time passes, every teacher will always carry love and care for their students,” Teacher Waree shared.
